Hard rock powerhouse Linkin Park will release their fourth studio album, ‘A Thousand Suns,’ on Sept. 14. The album was co-produced by vocalist Mike Shinoda and Rick Rubin. The disc will be the follow-up to 2007′s ‘Minutes to Midnight,’ which was also produced by Rubin.
‘The Catalyst,’ the first single for ‘A Thousand Suns,’ will be serviced to radio on Aug. 2 and will also be featured on the band’s MySpace page.

We all know subwoofers make bass. Big subwoofers, like the $799 Epik Empire, can sport massive 15-inch woofers and a Class D 600-watt power amplifier, all packaged in a 22x18x24-cabinet. The Empire’s 120-pound weight might be a not-so-subtle indication that it’s solidly built.

From July 2009 to July 2010, TubeMogul used their viewership data to estimate the annual income for independent YouTube partners, which they define as anyone who is not part of a media company or brand.

Dutch teenager Laura Dekker has reportedly left Portugal on her attempt to become the youngest person to sail solo around the world.
The Associated Press reports that Dekker, 14, departed in secrecy aboard her 38-foot sailboat, Guppy, from an undisclosed Portugal port Saturday, avoiding the media because her manager said she didn’t want the attention.
Dekker said goodbye to her father and friends and left en route to either Spain’s Canary Islands or Portugal’s Madeira Island, depending on the winds, according to manager Peter Klarenbeek.
